Hey there! We’re Amy and Qian, the founders of Mako Matcha. We met in college in San Diego, bonding over our love for exploring the outdoors and the hunt for the freshest dim sum. After reconnecting post graduation, we discovered a mutual love for matcha and the calming ritual that ties us to our Asian heritage. In 2024, we took a trip to Japan to explore different matcha varieties and find the perfect source.
With the support of our loved ones, we’re thrilled to launch Mako Matcha—named after Qian’s cat—and share our passion for matcha with you!
